In 1937, 16-year-old Berkley Bedell started a small fishing business in Spirit Lake, Iowa, with just $50 earned from his newspaper route. Working from his bedroom, he hand-crafted fishing flies using simple materials and sold them to local tackle shops and visiting anglers. What began as a small passion project soon became the foundation of a brand built around creativity, dedication, and a lifelong love for fishing.
